During the [NAME OF YOUR MONTH] [MONTH NAME], my friend and I went golfing on a [DAY NAME] after work.
I hadn’t seen her in a few weeks and we were both so busy lately, so we wanted to get together before the summer ended. We played at this new mini-golf course near our office that I’ve been wanting to try.
When we got there, the place was packed! Luckily, after about a half hour wait for other people to finish putting, we were able to get on the course. We decided to go through each hole twice–once each–so it’d be easier and more fun to see who won.
For each hole, we kept score of how many times it took each of us to get the ball in. Whoever got the most holes-in-one won! It was close until about hole four, when I started to pull ahead. I ended up with three holes in one while she only got two. She had a really good time though, and we ended up going out to dinner after.
I hadn’t been mini-golfing since I was a kid, so it was nice to get back into it! If you’re looking for something fun and different to do this [MONTH NAME] with your friends or significant other, what about going golfing?
No matter how long you’ve been out of practice, it’s guaranteed to be a great time.

***Everyone enjoys a good game of golf, but what about the people who don’t play? Can they enjoy that too? Of course they can! Whether you hit up a mini-golf course or a driving range, it’s a guaranteed great time.
A fun date idea is to go bowling. If you are on a budget, just have a bunch of friends get together and rent out a bowling alley for your group. In addition to bowling, add some food into the mix! Maybe play some arcade games or laser tag. This can be an after-bowling activity.
If you’re feeling up to it, go snow tubing! Nothing is more fun than flying down a snow-covered hill on a rubber tube. If you’re outside of snow country, don’t fret! You can still go sledding or take your date to an ice skating rink.
After the sun goes down, try out the glow in the dark mini golf course. While it might be tough to see the obstacles like waterfalls and moats, it will certainly be an interesting experience.
Pick up some darts and take your date out for a night at the local dart bar! This is something that everyone can enjoy plus you’ll get to spend time with your special someone.
Take it back old school. Rent the latest copy of your favorite classic arcade game and enjoy a night out all while you try to beat your date’s high score.
If you have a picky eater, dinner and a movie is always a good option. Plus, if the food doesn’t turn out so great or if they fall asleep in the movie theatre, you’ll have a good story to tell.
Looking for a cheap date? Take a stroll through a local park and feed the ducks! Not only is it fun, but it can be romantic too. Who doesn’t love watching their date throw bread crumbs into the water?
Cooking dinner for your date can be a fun idea. Don’t worry about the mess because you can always call in for food to be delivered later if you would like. You can even make it into a competition where you both bring ingredients and see who is better at cooking.
Take your date out stargazing! Rent/borrow a telescope or binoculars and look up at the stars. It’s a great way to enjoy nature, but also talk with your loved one.
Go for a horseback ride! Not only will it be fun seeing all of the beautiful scenery that surrounds you, but you can even opt in for some refreshments when you get back to dry land.
If you’re looking for a kid-friendly activity, take your date to an indoor play area. Not only do kids love it, but adults do too! It’s the perfect way to get out and enjoy yourself. Who knows? You might just be able to check one of these off your bucket list!
Fancy a dance? Head to your local ballroom and try out some swing dancing! It’s perfect for those who love music and want to spend time with their date. Plus, it can be extremely romantic as you spin around the dance floor together.. Find an activity that you know both of you will enjoy and check it off your list of go-to first date ideas.
