first date ideas: Go Get Sundaes

Who knew first date ideas were so hard to come up with? They shouldn’t be! Here’s a first date idea that makes for easy conversation.

On your first date, treat yourselves to something special: iced ice cream at the local parlor. It doesn’t matter what flavors they serve; it can even be pre-made in their freezer (ugh). Just make sure you sit close enough together for your elbows to touch. Then, see who can reach across and grab whose ice cream first. Two out of three wins!

If you win but you don’t like the flavor of your ice cream, try this move: act like you dropped it on the floor behind the table—place one hand over your mouth and let out a convincing cry of distress. Your date will go first, and then it’ll be your turn to steal their ice cream!

Just kidding, you don’t actually have to drop the ice cream on the floor—screaming your head off isn’t either of your style. But this first date idea is sure to get you both in a competitive mood. It’s also simple enough that you can talk all about the flavors while you eat, or how great it is when two people are so in sync with each other’s movements.

See? Wasn’t first date ideas easy to come up with after all?
